Welcome to Daniel Hahnke of Salem, VA. Dan recently converted his Test Drive membership. He has a 2011 Boxster.

An Email from Mark Kilcollin

Thankfully no injuries.  The Porsche protected my wife and she brought it safely to a stop.

So….

I’m looking for a replacement. Would like to find a Macan S,  GTS, Turbo or Cayenne S Coupe, 2019 or newer white/red 2.9L, air suspension, sports chrono, Premium plus.

I’m searching all the traditional car trader sites. Any leads appreciated.

All the best,

Mark

Zone 2 Treasurer Position

Our region is within the PCA Zone 2 and there is an opening for a member to volunteer to fill the position of Zone 2 Treasurer. The job requires primarily tracking P&L for the Club Race, which occurs in March. Deposits may be paid by check and the final VIR payment is via electronic transfer the week after the race. Hence, the treasurer does not need to travel to the track just to write checks. Refunds to the volunteers can also be done via mail. The point being the treasurer does not need to travel to VIR unless they want to watch some great racing. Familiarity with Quicken or QuickBooks is a big plus.

The other busy times for the Treasurer are the two president’s meetings to brief the financials and provide financial support to the Zone 2 Representative when appropriate.

Delaware Region Drivers Education Event

Email:

My fellow American, I come to you with an important message.

Millions of Americans this evening are crying themselves to sleep.

The reason?

They have never experienced the transcendent joy of a Delaware PCA Drivers Education event.
Not signing up for our event has caused divorces, broken homes and more.

“I never signed up and now I can’t work again. I can’t get a job. My kids are ashamed to look at me.”  — Gregg W (not his real name)

Hi, I’m Zoé Brady and I’m running for the Track Registrar position of the Delaware Porsche club and I need your support.

Why am I writing this? Friends, we are in serious trouble. Our registrations are way down, down in the sub-basement level. We need to double our registrations in the next 2 weeks or we may have to pull the plug. In two weeks we are on the hook for the entire weekend amount owed to New Jersey Motorsports Park. The Delaware region is one of the smaller regions. We only put this event on once a year.

NJMP is an expensive track. Our rental fees have increased every year. This was the first year in 6 that we raised our rates. If we don’t get a serious bump in our registrations, we will have to cancel our event. Our club cannot absorb the financial loss if only 50 drivers sign up. If we cancel in two weeks we’ll still take a serious financial hit, but nothing compared to the entire rental fee.

If we cancel, that will most likely mean the end of the Delaware Region track events.

So here’s your call to action:

If you’re on the fence, sign up now. We need your support.
If we don’t get enough signups, everybody will get refunded. It’s a no-lose situation.

I also need you to reach out to friends, colleagues and the track-curious. Get them to sign up.

Sign up today, our webbots are standing by to handle your registration

Lisa H came to our event one year with her boyfriend “just visiting”. Now several years later, the boyfriend is gone, but she has a new 911 track toy and is in the Black Run group. This event can change your life!

“A shit ton of fun!” – actual quote from Lisa H.

Don’t forget, if we don’t get enough signups, I’ll lose my position as Track Registrar and will have to go live in a refrigerator box in the woods with my huskies. I can only eat squirrel 3 days in a row. Please help! sign up today!
