Lynchburg Cars and Coffee
Dave Chatntoo reports that he went to Lynchburg cars n coffee last Saturday morning and probably 150 cars showed up. Several pcars were there and he met one of the owners named Robin who knew nothing of our club. He encouraged to join. Also that evening there was a cruise in at ” Charley’s ” house that he does once a month. Probably 80 cars there including a few pcars. There is another on May 22nd.

Cars N Coffee – Blue Ridge Region
Well, Martin’s had a successful Cars N Coffee. Also, Lynchburg has had one. And I know that the Smith Mountain Lake Lake Pipes has had several. So, where oh where is the Blue Ridge Region Cars N Coffee? Gene? Where are you?
Well, actually Gene has been hard at work. He is shooting to start in June assuming a place will host us. Two places so far are not ready for a large group. Also, Gene is looking for places for CnC that can host 20 – 40 attendees. We have lost a couple of venues. Any suggestions?
One idea at Wednesday’s Exec Board meeting was for an outdoor location with a food truck or pre-ordered food brought-in.
So, its coming. Patience

Bring a Trailer
Many of you have not heard about the website, www.bringatrailer.com. Here is today’s special.
This four-speed manual transaxle is said to have been part of James Dean’s 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder, from which it was separated at an unknown point following his deadly accident in September 1955. The transaxle was reportedly stored for several decades prior to acquisition from Massachusetts by its current owner in 2020. It is now fitted to a steel display stand with axles, axle tubes, drum brake assemblies, and a starter. This 550 Spyder transaxle is offered by the seller on behalf of its current owner in New York with a copy of a letter from Porsche verifying its origin and a documentation file. GearboxCurrently the highest bid is $100,000. It ends in 13 days.
