Treffen Georgia Mountains
Registration for Treffen Georgia Mountains at the Barnsley Resort will open on WED 4JAN23. Treffens are very popular and this one is expected to sell out very quickly (less than 10 minutes is likely). The location is within a reasonable distance of where we live and the location promises some great driving roads. PCA has reserved the entire resort so everyone there will be a club member! All of the details are on the Treffen North America website. The most important message is to have a gameplan of what you want to sign up for and be on-line when registration opens.
Parade Phase 1 Registration
Parade Phase 1 Registration will open up on WED 1FEB23. Phase 1 gets you registered for Parade and to reserve a room. Since Parade is in Palm Springs, CA next year, I expect participation from Zone 2 will be reduced – but the decision time is coming soon!
Tech Tactics East
Tech Tactics East is back post-Covid and will be in Easton PA on SUN 19FEB23. Registration will open on WED 18JAN23.
Werks Amelia Island
Werks Amelia Island is 4MAR23 and in coordination with the Amelia Island Concours. This is a great event within reasonable reach of our members. Registration opened on 14DEC23 and will likely sell out.
BRR makes the News!
Blue Ridge Region PCA is featured in the December edition of Panorama. Take a look at the top of page 114. Keep an eye out for announcements as rumors have it that at least one Tire Rack Street Survival School for teen drivers is being considered for 2023. Running a successful school takes a lot of volunteers and there are opportunities regardless of skills.

Invitation from Delaware Region
(I get these emails from Zoe from time to time. They are a hoot!
Hello sinners, it’s Zoé your Mistress of Pain, …. wait one, “wrong email list?” ah okay.”

Hello Track Fans,
It’s your favorite/most hated/who? Track Registrar with an important announcement.
Once again the Powers to Be have brought me back to impart *important information* to you. I was watching the Twitter Disaster reality show, but it will be there when I get back.
The Delaware region of the Porsche Club will be holding our 15th edition of Thunder Again Driver’s Education event at New Jersey Motorsports Club. Mark these dates on your calendar:
Friday October 6th – Advance solo drivers
Saturday and Sunday October 7th and 8th – open to all
Registration will open, fittingly, on April 1st.
The first 50 registrations will receive their own Velociraptor*, a 1 year subscription to Bite Me!, the Journal of Home Raptor Care, and a first aid kit including 2 tourniquets.
This is a special weekend as it will be the last Thunderbolt track day for 2023 if not forever. NJMP is closing the track to do some work. I think they may be building tank traps so if you go off in the Octopus, you’re done for the weekend. Of they could be turning the track into a Llama farm. I’m not quite sure, I was looking at my phone at the meeting. Whatever, I’m sure it will be a bit spicy.
And pricing? It should be somewhere between Free and $1000/day. I really should pay more attention at these meetings, but “Twitter Reality Show!”
And since Sebastian Vettel is out of a job, we invited him to be a guest instructor. We haven’t heard back yet. Fingers crossed!
So here are your instructions: On April 1st, pull out your credit card and head to and sign up. I won’t accept no for an answer. We have sold out every year for the last 6 or 7. My inbox is full in September with the cries and lamentations of the souls who were too late.

Porsche 935 K3: A fascinating piece of Porsche racing history.
Some competition cars have long, well documented racing histories; this Porsche 935 K3 is not one of them. In fact, it was raced so briefly that most historians failed to notice it, even though it did win the 1979 Daytona Finale. More
