Membership No new members this week. Upcoming Activities 2nd Annual Gary Bell Rally – April 10 Must Register by April 3 Join the Blue Ridge Region PCA for our 2nd Annual Gary Bell Rally! The Blue Ridge Region PCA has prepared a rally for April 10, 2021!  The course is approx. 105 miles with an estimated drive time of about 2 1/2 hours +/-.  This event will include a midpoint break stop.  Awards will be given to the top three finishers based on driving time based on posted speed limits and score on questions. Membership New Members No new members this entire month! If you see a Porsche, invite them to join. We have had 18 new members this year. Currently there are 196 Primary members and 118 Affiliate members for a total of 314 members! Planning is underway for our October 16th Street Survival, which is a training event for teen drivers. Volunteers to help work the event (experience not necessary) and coaches (training is available) can register now.

Membership New Members No new members this week. Emails from Members From time to time I get notes from members about the content of the blog. Last week, Hi, Pete. Members New Members Welcome to Stephen Blanchard from Lynchburg, VA who started as a PCA Test Drive Subscriber. Stephen drives a 2014 Cayman. Stories RUKUS ‘22 A few weeks ago now close to 80 air cooled Porsches began arriving in the Star City for the second annual Rukus ’22.  Folks come to this event from Florida, Georgia, New Mexico, Ohio, New York and everywhere else in between.  This event is not a car show! Members New Members No new members this week. Stories The Spring Thing 2022  This past weekend, the Smoky Mountain PCA held its 46th Spring Thing. This has become an East Tennessee tradition. They were at the beautiful Carnegie Hotel/Millennium Center in Johnson City, TN.  Activities included:       Saturday – Concours d’elegance/Drive Tour or Gimmick Rally/Awards Banquet       Sunday – Autocross at Bristol Motor Speedway Concours The Concours was held Saturday morning from 9:00-11:00 AM in the parking garage, on the roof on a beautiful sunny day. Membership New Members No new members this week. Stories For those of you who ventured out this past Saturday for the Cars N Coffee, we had a terrific time. Shawsville is located just north of Christiansburg at the base of the mountain. A neat little town that was bypassed when I-81 was built but readily accessible along Route 11. Perhaps 30 people attended and enjoyed a delightful breakfast at Hale’s Restaurant. Following breakfast, many of us traveled over to Duncan Imports, a dealer of exotic and bizarre autos, located in Christiansburg. Bizarre is an understatement. I have never seen so…
