Alton, Virginia Volunteers are asked to sign up for at least one shift in the parking Corral or the Hospitality Tent: either a morning or afternoon on either Saturday or Sunday. We need 12 people per day. Specific times for each shift will be determined when the agenda for the racing days are finalized by IMSA. Duties will include directing cars to parking in the Corral and general support to the Hospitality tent. Volunteers will receive a t-shirt and complimentary one-day ticket to the race which includes access to the hospitality tent and free parking in the Corral – if you drive your Porsche. Ticket prices for the race, including the Porsche Corral, start at $60, guests are extra. In addition to getting a front row seat to some of the most competitive racing in the world, entrants to the PCA hospitality tent will be able to sign up for: Paddock tours, Michelin tire workshops, Parade laps, Driver “Meet & Greats”, raffles and much more! Interested volunteers are asked to contact Phil Grandfield/PCA Zone 2 Rep at zone2reppca@gmail.com and indicate your preference for Saturday or Sunday, morning or afternoon shift, and Corral or Hospitality tent.
Street Survival – October
In case you missed it. A note from Brett Randolph.
It has been a long 2 years folks, but I’m happy to announce that we are bringing TRSS Street Survival back in Fall 2022! Although we do not know the exact outline of Covid this fall, I do believe it will be safe enough to host an event and we will certainly make accommodations for Covid concerns, etc. You all should have received an email invitation from me during planning for previous Schools and many of you instructed and/or volunteered at our previous events. I think all of you know me by now, but just in case, my name is Brett Randolph with VDOT, and I will be chairing the upcoming Street Survival Event. I want to start out by thanking BMW Club-Tarheel Chapter for sponsoring and providing insurance at the past two events. We anticipate running the next event under the PCA-Blue Ridge Chapter with a lot of support from BMW Club. We have settled on Sunday, October 16, 2022 as the next Street Survival School at the Salem Civic Center. The address is below:
Salem Civic Center
1001 Roanoke Blvd
Salem, VA 24153
The intent of this email is to notify everyone of the upcoming event so you can save the date on your calendar. At this time, I don’t necessarily need commitments but rather mark it on your calendars and try to plan around this date as much as possible. The volunteers and instructors are the most critical elements to the success of Street Survival School…without you, none of this will happen. I have also included our industry partners in this email who have provided assistance at past events which we greatly appreciate.
If you know of anyone else that may be interested that has not participated in a recent Street Survival School, please feel free to forward this email to them and have them contact me, or you can provide me his/her contact information and I will reach out. I encourage those that are in sports car clubs to share this distribution with their club as soon as possible.
At this time, it is too early to begin planning meetings but please be on the lookout for further emails and instructions in the next couple of months.

PORSCHE PLANS TO BUY 50% OF RED BULL’S F1 OPERATION
Porsche’s intention to acquire a 50% stake in Red Bull’s Formula 1 operation ahead of its planned entry in 2026 has been revealed in a document published by Morocco’s Conseil de la Concurrence.
The proposed deal applies to the Red Bull Technology business that is officially the chassis constructor for Red Bull Racing, but covers most of the F1 team’s activities.
Hogan’s Corner
Our trip to the Cass Scenic Railroad State Park in Cass, WV, 2015. The Kauffman’s, Templeton’s and the Hogan’s are far right.
