Our good friend and longtime member, Dick Hatch is still in a rehab facility in Roanoke.  Dick needs our help.  He broke his hip and is struggling to motivate himself to do the rehabilitation necessary to return home.  Please send him a card, give him a call or better yet, take a few minutes out of your day to go visit him.

Dick is at the Friendship Health Rehabilitation South located at 5647 Starkey Road in Roanoke 24184.  The phone number is 540 777-8300.

We welcome Jeff and Jennifer Coston as new members to our region.  They are dual regions maintaining their membership with the First Settlers Region.  Jeff and Jennifer have moved to SML and drive a yellow Carerra 4S cabriolet.  Also, Jenner is the PCA Zone 2 Treasurer.  I had the pleasure of meeting them at a recent SML Car’s n Coffee a few weeks ago.  Delightful people.

We also welcome John Perry IV, our newest member who lives in Forest, VA.  John drives a 2017 Boxster.Activities
BRR Cars and Coffee June

Saturday, 26 June 2021 we had our first Cars ‘n Coffee since 14 March 2020. The parking lot of Blue Ridge Bagels in Lynchburg was crowded, so there were Porsches scattered all around the building. The bagel shop owners were well prepared for the crowd so the food arrived fast and very delicious. Since this was our first Cars ‘n Coffee in 15 months, there were a large number of Blue Ridge Region members there, 29 in total including four new members, Donovan and Mabel McCorrison with their improved Boxster and Jeff and Jennifer Coston in teir beautiful Speed Yellow 2014 C4 Cab. We were a noisy group, but we had a lot to catch up on from the 15 month gap. After about two hours everyone returned to their cars and headed home with the “glad to do it again” feeling. It was nice to see everyone, and enjoy driving our Porsches. We will look for you 24 July at Old Oak Cafe in Moneta.

Electronic Waivers

Thanks to all who have signed the electronic PCA Communicable Disease Waivers!  60% of the recent Cars N Coffee attendees had done that in advance and enjoyed friends, bagels, and cars with no paperwork hassle!

And those waivers are valid for events thru February 2022!

Haven’t done it yet?  Please grab your “smart” phone or tablet and complete the BRR-PCA CDW now.  Email Reid Kuder at President@brr-pca.org should you need help.
